Bohemian Caravan is based in Fort Collins, Colorado. We’re inspired by  American Tribal Style Belly Dance traditions but our style is always evolving within the more general tribal form. We’re influenced by the music, costume and movement of Spain, North Africa, the Middle East and India. We very rarely choreograph our dances, but improvise each one by leading and following each other using a common vocabulary of movement and cues.

Bohemian Caravan was established in the fall of 2006 by Nancy Montgomery, who has been belly dancing over 30 years. The cornerstone of our vision is the nonverbal connection formed between our dancers by group improvisation. We thoroughly enjoy our differences in age, size, background, shape and costuming; especially when our “motley crew” dances as with one body and one mind, still retaining those  individual differences.  It’s an almost magical event!
